Hokkaido Ice Hotel and Resort

Geimori W-awesome (wasamu) is an outdoor activity place, which is scheduled to open this summer near the Sapporo Art Park. As a preopening event, they have been holding the Hokkaido Ice Hotel and Resort where visitors can eat and drink at an ice dining bar and spend time at one of the ice hotels. The resort is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Feb. 27 (Sun.).
The ice dining bar serves cocktails in an ice glass and a nice variety of food dishes.

A music event is held every Saturday night. Adm.:¥1,500 with one drink. Some curry stands are open on weekends.

There are three ice hotels where visitors can enter for free and they can relax on an ice bed although they can't stay overnight. Access: take a taxi from Makomanai Subway Station. (Namboku Line).  Venue: Geimori Wawesome (Minami-ku, Geijutsunomori 3-chome).

Marvel Studio:  A Universe of Heroes

The participatory activity, "Marvel Studio, A Universe of Heroes" is being held now. At this event, items that represent heroes such as Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and Black Widow are exhibited.

Find all your favorite superhero products at the store with the best selections. Enjoy the high tech screens and take photos with various superheroes.

Date: until Mar. 27 (Sun.). Hours: weekdays,1–6 p.m., Sat., Sun. & hol., 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Closed: Thu.

Admission: ¥1,400 for jr. high and over, ¥600 for elem., free for preschoolers.

The Kurtos Bee (Hungarian Sweets and Snacks)

Do you know what kurtos is? It is a popular street food in Hungary and is also called chimney cake because of the shape. It is stuffed with sweet or savory fillings. Eat various kinds of kurtos, such as kurtos with cheese (¥500), cinnamon (¥500), or almonds. There are Kurtos cones with soft-served ice cream (¥550), potato salad, curry (¥550) and more. Try freshly and uniquely shaped baked kurtos with coffee (¥300) or tea at the shop. Takeout available.
